Auto upholsterer extends stay at Wayside Business Park

An auto upholstery business that supplies some of the world’s biggest car makers has signed a lease extension at Wayside Business Park in Coventry.

KJ Ryan has agreed a new five-year lease with landlord Hortons’ Estate Ltd on a 27,000 industrial unit at the mixed use site on Wilsons Lane, Longford.

The agreement commits the firm’s future to Wayside Business Park, where it has been based for several years.

KJ Ryan produces car components and interiors using a combination of modern technology and flexible manufacturing techniques, including concept development, hand trimming, machine wrapping and sewing.

The firm works with partners including Jaguar Land Rover, Bentley, Hyundai, Toyota, McLaren Group and Unipart.

Wayside Business Park is a multi-let estate comprising an office block and two industrial units spanning 86,500 sq ft. It is one of two properties in Coventry owned by Hortons’, following the acquisition of a 48,000 sq ft retail unit at Coventry Business Park in November 2021.

Jeremy Boothroyd of Hortons’ said: “We’re very pleased to have agreed a lease extension with KJ Ryan. We have developed an excellent relationship with the company over several years and its continued presence at Wayside is positive news for the business park. We wish the team continued success in the years to come.”
