| Before you go to explore some of the floors of our building why not browse our Arts and Charity collection? On the wall you will find a work by Black Country Artist John Notter. Hortons' acquired one of his works called the Bridge in 2001 as part of their growing Corporate Art Collection. Other works include a set of 6 woodcuts by Tessa Beaver and prints by Peter Grego. More recently we have acquired two works by Brian Horton (including No 2 Cliffwalk with Clouds and Boats in mixed media and Stramble Head Clouds and Shadows also in mixed media) and two prints by John Piper. Not forgetting, on public display, the fascinating ceiling painting by Paul Maxfield in the Piccadilly Arcade, Birmingham. |
Since 2001 we have been the sole corporate supporter of the Award winning ensemble Birmingham Symphonic Wind and we were runners up in the Arts & Business Jaguar Awards 2007 for our long term relationship with BSW. We are also corporate members of Birmingham Repertory Theatre and Wolverhampton Grand Theatre, and Arts & Business and we sponsor the Chair of Mark O'Brian, the principal bass clarinettist, of the world famous CBSO. In previous years our nominated Charities have been Radio Lollipop in the Princess of Wales Children's Hospital in Birmingham, The Princes Trust to give young people the opportunity to achieve their goals and ambitions, Acorns Childrens Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Relief. In 2006 and 2007 we supported NSPCC and County Air Ambulance.
